Sleepy Head Balm by Made By Coopers Apothecary

I was kindly sent this balm to give my honest review.

If you have seen my previous posts, you’ll know how much  I love Made By Cooper’s Apothecary Bath Salts. I also have their calming spray, so I was excited to give their sleep balm a whirl. They also have a similar spray product called Sleepy Head within the range.

The balm itself contains only natural ingredients (no beeswax!) which aim to help you drift off.

Lavender – Ultra calming and floral. Alleviates anxiety, stress and depression.

Frankincense – Calming and relaxing. Relieves anxiety and chronic stress. Removes negative energy in the body and environment, making it a great oil to use in the bedroom before bed. Good for meditation and promoting enlightenment.

Hemp Oil – High in vitamin A, C and E. This natural anti-oxidant fights off free radicals and helps slow down the ageing process.

Shea Butter – Ultra nourishing to the skin.

It is advised that you massage into your wrists and temples, but I also used on my chest and nose (I’ve had a cold this week!) It actually helped to keep the skin  on my nose moisturised too!

It smelt of lavender for sure, but it wasn’t an over powering smell which was good. However, I did feel that the balm was too hard. It was difficult to get a substantial enough amount out of the tin. Therefore, it felt like I was rubbing very little into my skin. I made a good lip balm due to its texture, but I’m not sure lavender is the best scent for this! Alternatively, I’d suggest to spray your pillow with the Sleepy Head spray for a restful nights slumber.
