Mineralissima Mineral Makeup

This week I’ve been trying out mineral foundation kindly gifted from Mineralissima.

Mineralissima are a Dutch beauty company founded in 2008 from the love of natural, cruelty-free cosmetics. Over a decade later, Mineralissima has grown into an international brand specialising in cruelty free makeup. They’re also perfume free and vegan friendly.

With natural and cruelty free ingredients, zero parabens (which can redden and break skin out). The powder formation is designed to blend and cover skin, with a buildable coverage.

In the trial box, you get four shades suited to your skin tone (mine is fair with pink undertones). My best shade was ‘Pine’ with yellow undertones to cancel out my redness.

I was so impressed by the coverage. It’s a powder to start with which blends really smoothly with the kabuki brush. I was able to build in areas that needed more coverage. Surprisingly, it wasn’t drying at all and didn’t appear flaky, it was great on my sometimes sensitive skin. They’re really good if foundation makes your skin oily.

Shade: Pine

To use;

• Remove the label inside the jar and sprinkle a little foundation powder in the lid of the jar.
• Swirl the kabuki brush into the lid. This movement infuses the powder in the bristles.
• Dab the foundation onto your face, preferably the jawline and blend.
• Let the foundation set. Does it “disappear” into your skin? If so, then you’re found your perfect match!

I was also kindly sent a lovely nude lip liner. This formula was so soft, it glided on. I love the shade and it lasts on my lips for ages.

It’s again vegan friendly and really pigmented.
