So, what was in the May box? Well, this month’s featured artist was Claris Tudor (@clariceillustrates) from the University of Leeds. Her pin is all about hope, as I write this, it’s the day of the royal wedding. The diversity, modern twists and pure love involved in the ceremony definitely gave me hope for the future. 20180516_1802464161431144549069837.jpg

Next to catch my eye, was the fabulously illustrated tiger notebook by Lydia Meiying (@hello.meiying). The design represents strength and resilience. The pages are blank, so good for all of your doodles and notes! I’m not sure if this was a box exclusive, but similar designs retail at £5. She also sells an amazing range of dinosaur print cushions!

To match, a vibrant orange pencil from Partridge & Bell (@partridgeandbell). ‘Take Happy Notes’ to me, is a subtle reminder to write down the positive events in life. When you were a teenager, did you keep a diary? If you were like me, it was often to store all of the bad days and rarely did you stop to record the good. Sometimes, it’s important to reflect upon these too (if you have chance to stop!).

I have a memory blanket. On it, I sew patches from places I’ve visited. I’ll admit it’s a little sad, but it originates from my days in the Guides (it’s actually an official Guide blanket!). My mum had one from her days as a Brownie and I hope one day I can pass mine on to my daughter. For this reason, I was a tad disappointed that the second badge wasn’t a patch. However, it is a beautifully designed, square badge promoting self love. I’m a huge advocate for mental health and this is a gentle reminder to love yourself and to ‘Never Give Up’. It doubles as a magnet – which is fab! This was lovingly designed by The Positivity Pages (@thepositivitypages).

Finally, a chakra based tea bag from Positivitea (@positivitealdn). The bags are biodegradable and contain chamomile, honeybush and lavender. The crown chakra is associated with the brain and nervous system. The soothing ingredients encourage rest, peaceful sleep and a calm mind. A full box of bags is only £4.99 and they’re caffeine free – perfect for night times.
