Makeup and Drink up! A new, monthly, premium beauty box inspired by fabulous cocktails. One off boxes are £27.50(free postage) but there are 3 and 6 month boxes available too.
January was Cosmopolitan! Of course, a staple cocktail for any fan of Carrie Bradshaw, but also, for any lover of pink! Each subscriber received a full sized Anastasia Beverly Hills matte liquid lipstick. Which of course, needs no explanation of it’s great pigmentation, quality and durability.
My favourite product was the ‘Nicole by OPI’ polish in shade ‘Grant My Wish’. A simple, subtle colour, but it lasted for days before chipping. I found it really interesting to read into who ‘Nicole’ was too and seeing the full range (for those curious, she’s the daughter of the founder of OPI.)
Beautifully, there was a NYX pressed blush, which is so pigmented, it’ll last me years! I barely touched it with my brush and yet, it applied straight onto my skin in one application.
So far, all previous boxes have included products from Sephora, which is great for us Brits who can’t get regular hauls without importing… This month, a sample of Peony Body Wash and a Strawberry Bath Fizzing Cube. They smell lovely! They’re a good size to just try too, then you know if you want to invest in more or not.
By the same name, the Cosmopolitan lipgloss from New Kid Cosmetics, was a first for me from this brand. It’s the staple Cosmo pink, which is fun and smooth to apply! It also has a handy mirror inside the lid.
Finally, there was bathbomb included in the box, but sadly, mine had crumpled upon delivery. It made the whole box smell lovely though!
Of course, each box contains a collectable recipe card. I’ve never actually made it with L’orange vodka, but it’s definitely one to get the girls round to try!
It’s the most affordable premium beauty box I’ve seen thus far and the ABH lipgloss was an amazing product to include, again saving me import charges.
