Dr Botanicals Tropical Invigorating Cream

Dr Botanicals is a vegan friendly, cruelty free, British skin care brand. They use natural active ingredients which are kinder to your skin.

I was given the opportunity to try the Tropical Invigorating Cream.

 Firstly, the packaging is gorgeous! It’s attractive and eye catching, matching with the tropical theme. The outer packaging is also recyclable.

I love the hexagonal lid, because when your hands are loaded up with product, it’s slippy to screw a round lid back. But this one you can turn using the side of your hand! I also like the metal tube, because it keeps the product cooler than a plastic bottle. However, you do have to be careful to only lightly squeeze to get the product out, so that you don’t get too much. 

The cream itself smells great, it’s floral and sweet but not over powering. The cream is silky but takes a little longer than I’d usually like to sink in. I like creams that absorb quickly, so that you can apply makeup. Having said that, it wasn’t a cream that sat on the skin for a considerable amount of time. 

The premium price of £39.90 is a little off putting, but it does leave your skin smooth and it does look great! However, I personally need creams that combat redness to persuade me to pay a premium.
