VOBeauty Box August review

So, there’s a new vegan and organic  beauty box for all you cruelty free lovers. VObeauty specialise in all of these and only these kinds of products. You can purchase a subscription box for £15.95 or even build your own from £9.95.

I particularly like this option, it gives you the freedom to browse in advance from a chosen collection, selecting three or five products to be delivered to your door. Of course, there is also the random box option available as a one off or monthly rolling contract.

Subsequently, I received August’s box. Firstly, I noticed that it was nicely wrapped up, it didn’t feel mass produced and I liked unwrapping what felt like a present! It also smelt great! This had to be the unicorn bath bomb from Unique Creations soap company. Sadly, it’s head was a little damaged, but never the less it still looked great. My friend adores unicorns, but it smells too good to give away! Similarly, a pot of blue glitter was included with a lip sealing gloss from Saturate Colour. Glitter lips and general glitter makeup are all the rage this festival season (See Perrie Edwards). At Liverpool pride, I loved how it was included in people’s hair partings, it’s definitely having a comeback. Pura Cosmetics included their mohito lip scrub, a sugar based exfoliant, perfect for priming the lips before applying your glitter! Alternatively, before applying your matte lipsticks, to allow smooth application.

If you’ve read my previous blog posts, you’ll guess that my favourite product was the Coopers Apothecary bath salts. I LOVE these and are hands down the best salts I’ve used. So more to my collection is never a bad thing!

In addition to these goodies, a sandlewood and orange hair repair oil was the fifth product included. Using the pipette, I only needed a couple of drops to cover all of my ends. It does say not to wash out, but as my hair is quite thin, it sat heavily on my freshly washed hair. I made it appear greasy and sadly had to be rewashed. However, when used as a hair mask before washing, the effects were more beneficial. It also smelt lovely, where most oils  don’t have a scent. I found it quite relaxing to leave on during my bath.
Overall judgement;

I enjoyed this box, I like that the products are all vegan, organic and cruelty free! In future, I’ll be using the option to pick 5 products. Only because I get alot of boxes and I like that this is one of the only ones that let you pick! If that’s not enough, hey also donate 20p to charity for each box sold.

Thanks to #vobeauty_ltd for this opportunity!

  1. Thank you for every other great post. Where else could anyone get that kind of info in such an ideal way of writing? I have a presentation next week, and I am on the look for such info.
